The Berks ARL’s Grey Muzzle Foster Program

Do you love older pets or ones with special needs? The Berks ARL’s Grey Muzzle program needs you! The ARL is always looking for foster homes who would be willing to provide temporary care for older or special needs pets while they look for their forever homes. How does it work? • The ARL pays for vet care, you only need to provide food and toys (and love of course!) • The ARL will do a home visit and check vet references to ensure that the pet is going into a good environment. • If you have one or more dogs, they must visit the ARL’s shelter to meet a foster dog to ensure that they will get along. And your pets must be up-to-date on vaccines and have current licenses. • Foster homes must have their own transportation, commit to providing the pet with proper vet care and adequate exercise, and can bring the pet to the shelter when necessary to meet potential adopters. If you are interested in volunteering as a foster parent, please download and fill out a foster application: You can mail, fax, or stop in the shelter to drop off your application. Upon review, you will have a one-on-one interview with their foster coordinator to ensure your home and circumstances are appropriate for fostering. Thank you for considering being a foster parent with Gray Muzzle. If you have any more questions, please email or call (610) 373-8830 extension 119. Berks ARL Horse For Adoption

Hi, my name is Monkey!! I’m a very handsome and sweet 15-year-old Morgan mix gelding. I am looking for my forever home with someone who will enjoy my affectionate nature. I am coming from a stressful situation and have just lost my best horse friend. I like other horses but can be stubborn at times. 4 years ago, I had a rear leg injury that limits me to trail riding or just being a pasture pet. I do well with ground work and the farrier. I have not been worked for 2 years so I need a little refresher course. I am a quick learner and I know all my basic commands. Please consider adopting me to be your best friend. Contact Alison at 610-373-8830 ext. 105. Monkey the horse
